Camp Synaesthesia

Jameson Hubbs is a multidisciplinary artist based out of Los Angeles who specializes in creating immersive environments and installations. Jameson’s ethos is driven by using interactive art as a tool to awaken the creativity and connection necessary for a larger paradigm shift in Western society. He is also the owner of Genius Drums, an upcycled business he founded in 2015 that creates one-of-a-kind steel tongue drum instruments.

With a background in mechanical engineering, Sam has been an integral part in designing, manufacturing, and installing large scale permanent and semi-permanent public LED art sculptures around the world. Sam is an engineer/artist/manager at Symmetry Labs and co-founder of Synaesthesia. Sam values community and collaboration and strives to bring people together in creative ways.

Working with what’s around him, Niko makes creations for you to play with, sleep in, climb atop, sing into, dance upon, cry beneath, and make art about. From swings to temples, benches to beds, homes to hideouts, he has brought it to life. Some highlights are a treehouse in New Zealand, a beach cottage in Fiji, and an earth home in California. He says “With the magnificence of the natural world, the inevitable mark we leave on her skin better damn well be the best we’ve got.”

Rich DDT is an interactive installation designer, live electronic music producer/performer, and event organizer. His custom work for museums, public spaces, and art events features emerging technologies to create an awe-inspiring, educational, and playful environment for human connection. He has been designing interactions since 2008, curating experiences that encourage collaborative group creativity in digitally augmented spaces. Rich DDT co-founded the interactive technology design studio Anticlockwise Arts, the live electronic music and arts agency LoveTech, and has created installations for The Exploratorium, The Tech Museum of Innovation, Yerba Buena Center for the Arts and the CA Academy of Sciences.
